Issue 23 of relax magazine shines a spotlight on all things made in Japan, from fashion to food and electronics. While Japan's love affair with modern and especially western lifestyle began with a focus on American brands, the 80s and 90s saw a big influx of domestic brands, which were able to hone in on the specific needs and wants of the Japanese consumer.
The land of the rising sun put their own spin on American styles and even some western brands started manufacturing certain items in or specifically for the Japanese market.
