The Roots of Life photo books were a series of publications created by nanamica's Eiichiro Homma in partnership with The North Face. Homma has a longstanding relationship with TNF, even being the producer of the Japan-exclusive The North Face Purple Label.
Each of the yearly published books had a specific color, which corresponded with an occurence or phenomenon in the natural worlds. Volume 7 from the year 2013 explored the sun. Awestruck by its enormous size and powerful mass, nanamica's curiosity leads us on an interesting journey, marveling at the solar images of Alan Freidman and even witnessing the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis.
The book also includes an exclusive DVD, which further sheds light on the topic with breathtaking footage and an incredible soundtrack.
