This jam-packed issue of the Japanese magazine relax lets the reader accompany the legendary NIGO® on a trip to New York City, checking out a bunch of stores, connecting with his friend and collaborator Stash, visiting Atlantique City, a massive antique trade show/convention in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and more. relax provides an incredible look into the A Bathing Ape founder's travels, as it will repeatedly do in many issues, keeping the General company on trips to New York City , Hong Kong, London and more.
The cover story explores the work of the multi-hypenate Gento Matsumoto, who has an especially prolific career in graphic design. The cube animals on the cover are taken from his Nintendo GameCube game "Dōbutsu Banchō" – or "Cubivore: Survival of the Fittest" as it is known in English speaking territories – co-developed by Saru Brunai and Intelligent Systems, the former of which he founded himself.
The issue also features stories on bag-maker Porter Yoshida, Daft Punk, Michael Lau and more. Other contents include product reviews and recommendations, photo editorials, some recurring segments like "a girl like you" or "sunday people", as well as another artwork spread by Mark Gonzales.
Condition: The magazine is in great condition, especially considering the age. Only basic signs of usage. Some yellowing and discoloration due to age.
