Osaka Store Launch Exclusive T-Shirt
Made in Honduras
Materials: 100% Cotton
To celebrate the opening of their new Osaka store in 2020, New York-based brand Noah created a special t-shirt depicting a Kibori Kuma. The piece was available only at the new store, called Noah Noodle Shop, and the new Japanese webstore and in multiple colors.
Here is what Noah had to say about the t-shirt: "The symbol of the Noah Osaka opening is Kibori Kuma, a wood carving of a bear with a salmon in its mouth that represents a rural artisanal tradition in Japan. These bears were originally produced by farmers as a source of income in wintertime. Kibori Kuma conjures positive memories for members of our new team, many of whose grandparents display the carvings in the entryways of their homes. We like the idea that this image can exist anywhere in the world. We also see it as a symbol of the balance in nature, and the responsibility each species has for one another."
The t-shirt is in good condition. It shows basic signs of wear. Some lint on the lower back. Tiny chip of the D in London on the back print.
